Kylian Mbappé has reassured France fans that the ankle injury he suffered during the 2-0 FIFA World Cup quarter-final win over Morocco is not serious.
After being substituted in the 77th minute, Mbappé explained:
"I have a minor ankle injury, but I'm completely fine."
He added that the substitution was precautionary after taking a knock to his ankle during the match.
France coach Didier Deschamps also played down concerns, indicating there was no major issue. Since then, Mbappé has completed a full training session, further suggesting he is fit to play in France's World Cup semi-final against Spain.
Despite the injury scare, Mbappé still had a decisive performance against Morocco:
